Growing up in an artistic family, Jamie immersed herself in all modalities of art as a form of self-care. Finding it therapeutic, she researched ways to incorporate it into her professional career and found her passion for Art Therapy. Jamie believes that not all healing has to come from conversation but can be discovered nonverbally through evidence-based art. Jamie’s goal is to help bring awareness of our unconscious minds through visual representations to aid a better understanding of feelings, behaviors, and positive changes in our lives.
Jamie was born and raised in Florida for 25 years before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Fine Arts and a minor in psychology. After moving to the Bay Area, she graduated from Notre Dame De Namur with her Master’s in Art Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy. Over the last 6 years, Jamie has experienced working in very acute inpatient hospital settings as well as outpatient programs for all ages. In her free time, Jamie loves being outdoors, spending time with family, and traveling to the East Coast as much as possible.
